This basket handbag is constructed with a catalan style base and woven in buff willow. This is willow that has been through a boiling process during which the tannins in the bark dye it a tan colour and the bark is then removed.
The leather used for the handles is a waxy 'pull up' veg-tanned leather from a well known tannery in Italy.
Used as a handbag, for carrying your lunch or a picnic, foraging, to store knitting and craft projects, as a bottle basket for wine or used as decorative storage in your home adding texture and warmth to your hallway, kitchen, bathroom or conservatory.
