This basket handbag is constructed with a catalan style base and woven in steamed and white willow. The steaming process brings out a chocolatey brown colour from the bark which had been contrasted with white (stripped) willow in an english rand weave.
The chunky leather used for the handles are oak bark tanned in Devon using sustainably harvested oak bark from Cumbria and Wales.
Use as a handbag, for carrying your lunch or a picnic, foraging, to store knitting and craft projects, as a bottle basket for wine or used as decorative storage in your home adding texture and warmth to your hallway, kitchen, bathroom or conservatory.
