This oval shopping basket is made in a variety of willow called 'harrisons' which has a lovely range of colours in it throughout the length of the rods from reds to greens. With zig-zag weave paired with buff willow for contrast. I have also hightened the sides giving a lovely curved shape to the top line. A chunky wrapped handle for comfort and a herring bone weave detail.
This basket is woven with a 'stake and strand' technique. Weaving an oval base, then adding side stakes and weaving to from the sides.
Perfect for picnics, foraging, carrying your shopping at the local market or as decorative storage around your home.
