Gypsy style foraging basket

About the workshop

Take time out for yourself, learn a new skill and enjoy the creative process. In this workshop you will learn the basic basketry skills to make a gypsy style foraging basket. We'll be making 'frame baskets' which involves 2 hoops which are woven together to form the handle and top and adding in ribs for structure. This workshop is suitable for beginners and all materials and tools will be provided. As this is a full day course you will need to bring a packed lunch. There will be facilities for making hot drinks throughout the day. The workshop will take place at my house where there is free on street parking. Please note: The willow varieties I have will vary depending on what is available at the time. Bookings will close 1 week prior to allow soaking time for the willow. I often soak a little extra so if you are interested after the bookings close please send me a message and I'll see if I can accommodate.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy Please ensure you have read the cancellation policy prior to making a booking. Payment is required in full to secure a place. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the workshop. In the event of non attendance no refund will be issued. Cancel 28 days or more before the workshop a full refund will be issued minus any booking fees. Or you can swap to another workshop. Cancel 14-28 days - if I am able to allocate your place to another student then a full refund minus booking fees will be issued. If I am unable to fill the space a 50% refund minus any booking fees will be issued. Cancel less than 14 days prior - no refund will be issued. ​If for any reason I need to cancel the workshop a full refund will be given minus any booking fees.
