Tea tray at The Gathering Fields Wellbeing Centre

About the workshop

Take time out for yourself, learn a new skill and enjoy the creative process. In this workshop you will learn the basic basketry skills to make a tea tray. In collaboration with Relic Plastics who recycle plastic material into colourful products. We'll be using their sheet material as the base for our tea tray. Each base is individual and an art work in itself. We'll introduce side stakes, weave up the sides adding a simple pull handle and finish with a trac border. This workshop is suitable for beginners and all materials and tools will be provided. A lunch of soup is included in this session. About the venue The Gathering Fields Wellbeing Centre "Come back to nature at The Gathering Fields wellbeing centre, we are situated in the Trough of Bowland in Lancashire, an hour from Manchester and the Lake District. The space offers therapy services such as Forest Bathing, Sound Meditation, Yoga, Ayurveda and Flower Essence Therapy. We provide an indoor barn and an outdoor space for nature-based workshops, retreats, family breaks and community groups. The venue is ideal for families and small groups. We are surrounded by rolling fells, wide open countryside walks and 3 acres of wildflower meadow that is part of an ongoing restoration ."
